“I joined the board of NEGST when Mr Tony Wilmot, Dr Tokunbo Adeyemo and Dr Modupe Taylor-Pearce were principals, and there were only the chicken coops of the old farm for lectures, offices and dining. The board had quite a few crisis meetings; but the Lord was very gracious to us all the way, and there was massive development. We heartily welcomed the assistance provided from abroad, and especially by Hilfe fur Bruder. It is with much gratitude to God that I see how far NEGST has come since those days, and the fact that it is currently being headed by one of our Alumni in the person of Dr Douglas Carew.” Emmanuel Oladipo

Dr. Taylor-Pearce, the first African principal of NEGST, served from 1986-1993. During a recent campus visit, he said, “When I came, NEGST looked like a farm. I had big dreams for NEGST and I am now looking at a dream come true.”
