Ben,
thumps up for this move! i agree with your take on what true success is all about. this has taken a serious beating in our day largely due to the materialism of our time. christians have been slowly drifting though few care to admit it publicly.

havent read it yet but will soon. a biblical reflection is a yes yes.

go go bro...

As a student at NEGST and the impact the courses have had on me, I know that God is able especially if we are good stewards. The times are tough but God has promised that "..I've never seen the children of the righteous forsaken nor begging for bread.." He is faithful and he will see NESGT through this season and time. I challenge all the allumni's who owe NEGST to give back especially for the future generations (who are your children) as we who are currently there also do our part by paying our dues. Thanks for the encouragement. I will do my best to honour my commitments as a christian leader.
In Christ all things are possible,
Francis Awando

God bless you Dr. Carew. Thanks for the faith and encouragement. I believe NEGST will be back on its feet soon, and things will flow smoothly. May the Lord bless the work of NEGST and bless them financially. I kindly ask the school not to be too hard on the students even when things are tough.

Our God has bee truly faithful despite many challenges our school is going through. Thanks for update. i am committed to pray and do something for our wonderful school for i has truly equipped and transformed me for the service of God. In deed, one may not realize its importance until he goes out. otherwise, many people in Eldoret and Kitale are excited and ready to join AIU (NEGST) for its impact is known. thanks our V.Chancellor for your commitment to see this school grows to higher heights. God bless you. PAMOJA
Yours faithfully,

Dr. Carew,

Thank you for this very insightful and encouraging update. It was a joy to be there for the brunch yesterday and to hear some of the plans and the ways in which God has moved the past 25 years. We thank Him for this school in the heart of Africa with Africa on it's heart. You know people all around the world are being called to pray for and support NEGST/AIU. Even Asia is being awakened to the opportunity. We will continue to pray and see God's hand at work. Thank you for being the man of faith God has called on to lead AIU. Blessings, John Mosby

Wow! Rome was not built in a day, was it? I believe that the church in Liberia will never be the same again because of one person who decided to make a change. This is inspirational for those of us who just graduated recently and are still adjusting to change in new areas and contexts of ministry.

I am proud of reminding myself that I was once Mercer’s student; I had four of his classes at NEGST, three 'Hebrew' courses and 'Cultural World'. From the start of the class, Dr. Mark Mercer used to make it clear to us, his students, that he wouldn’t mind excellent students stating that he would rather focus on transforming a weak student to an excellent one. He did what he said, and those who had done well looked at him for his appreciation but in vain! Instead, he praised those who improved irrespective of their level of achievement. Was that a nice thing to do? Maybe; maybe not. But what is undeniable is that Mercer is a champion of quality teaching and a high standard.
